HOW TO MAKE A MILLION!
You know I like the sound of "Crazy Jimmy Major Bucks" or "Diamond Jim".
"L.L. Cool Cash" has a nice ring to it. So, I thought I'd start off
the new century by becoming a millionaire. Want to be one too? Pay
plenty good attention because here's how I'm doing to do it. First, read
books on how to be one. "365 Ways to Become A Millionaire" by Brian Koslow (Plume
Books) is my starter. So far I've learned twenty things:
- Always wear expensive shoes. People notice.
- Surround yourself with people who believe in you.
- A bad attitude will get you fired sooner or later, regardless of your
skills. A bad attitude is toxic to any organization.
- Never make negative comments or spread rumors about anyone. It
depreciates their reputation and yours.
- People notice the care you give your teeth. Care for them so that they
look the best they can. Bonding is cheap.
- Upgrade the quality of your wardrobe. People have a tendency to lend
more credibility and respect to a person wearing fine clothes. Dress more fly.
- Improve the quality of your handshake.
- Everything is negotiable - in any transaction, and in any business-from
government to big department stores to the local supermarket.
- Forget the lottery. Bet on yourself instead.
- Don't bet on the Browns (oops, that's not from the book)
- If you rely on one form or method of marketing your products or services,
you are heading for a crisis. Nothing works forever.
- Be anchored to so some ideal, philosophy, or cause that keeps you too
excited to sleep.
- The vast majority of the population spends a great deal of effort and
money protecting themselves from losing what they already have. Highly
successful people, however, spend a great deal of money and effort risking
what they already have to get what they want.
- The most common cause of insufficient results is insufficient action.
- Controlling costs is not as impressive as controlling income. Costs have
a finite potential, while income has infinite potential. Focus your
resources on generating more income-there is greater potential there.
- Make sure your home has a computer, a fax, and a connection to the
internet. As new technology continues to become available, bring it
into your home. All will lead to greater productivity and income.
- Be willing to let go of the old in order to create something new.
Regularly upgrade your clothing, automobiles, and your own personal
packaging. It will keep you alive, vibrant and growing. (Dress fly
and damn it, buy that Lamborghini!)
- When your business is more important than your family or taking care of
yourself, you are not delegating enough.
- Never lie to anyone. Lost credibility is too costly and too
difficult to regain.
- Be generous with your humanity, compassion and gratefulness. Give often
to help kids and animals like the ones at the S&P Ranch, P.O. Box 100,
Fresno, Texas, 77545
I haven't read the whole book but I'm already convinced that I'm going to
really rake it in. You can too! I don't know what you're going to do with
your loot but I'm going to give a big chunk of it to the kids and animals at
The Ranch. Their life will become secure. Our most righteous volunteers
and donors won't have to work countless hours and shell out their hard earned
cash unless they just don't have anything else to do.
The hard rock truth about becoming anything is to believe you CAN do it and
accept nothing but victory. Now that we know for sure that we are going to
become rich why don't we just go ahead and give a portion of that "million
to come" right now? I know you can afford it. YOU'RE GOING TO BE A
MILLIONAIRE!!!
Happy $$$ New $$$ Year!!!! Jim and Joy Pruett
